Yahya Elnawasany gave a good scare to Zahed Salem today, threatening him with a mega comeback from 2/0 down, only bowing 11/7 in the 5th.
A big battle was waiting for Omar Mosaad against Abdulla Al Tamimi and unfortunately, it’s the Qatari that closes the 5th game 11/8.

The biggest tournament of the week comes in Cairo, with the Challenger 20 level CIB Egyptian Challenger Tour 5 being played at Smouha Sporting Club from Tuesday 30 November to Saturday 4 December.

World No.12 Miguel Rodriguez will lead the men’s field, with Qatar’s Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi as the only other non-Egyptian among the top eight seeds. The other members of the top eight are Omar Mosaad, Mohamed ElSherbini, Zahed Salem, Karim El Hammamy, Moustafa El Sirty and Yahya Elnawa-sany.

The same goes for the women’s draw, with seven of the eight seeds coming from Egypt. Nadine Shahin leads the way, with Nada Abbas, Yathreb Adel, Zeina Mickawy, Mariam Metwally, Hana Ramadan and Mayar Hany joined by Canadian Danielle Letourneau.
