PSA Report

A career-first World Events semi-final awaits Egypt’s Amina El Rihany on Friday after the No.8 seed stunned compatriot Salma Eltayeb on quarter-finals day of the Bermuda Open 2025.

El Rihany, who recently finished runner-up to Camille Serme at the Liverpool Cricket Club Open, continued her fine form with a five-game victory over No.3 seed Eltayeb at the PSA Squash Tour Copper-level event.

El Rihany’s 5-11, 11-7, 12-10, 5-11, 11-6 victory over Eltayeb ensured a semi-final meeting with No.2 seed Hana Moataz, who herself required five games to get past No.6 seed Haya Ali.

El Hammamy will face top seed Miguel Rodriguez in the semi-finals after the former British Open champion saw off England’s Simon Herbert in four games.

Egypt’s rising star Mohamad Zakaria continued his rich vein of form on the PSA Squash Tour as he ended the run of Moustafa Elsirty in three games. After claiming a monster opening game by an 18-16 scoreline, the 17-year-old only moved from strength to strength, blitzing through the following two games by 11-1 and 11-3 scorelines. Zakaria will play the unseeded Veer Chotrani in the last four, after the Indian was awarded a walkover after Nick Wall was forced to pull out of the event with injury.
