Egypt’s CIB Farida Mohamed was dealt a tough draw in the El Gouna International as she came up against an in-form Nour El Tayeb. Mohamed bounced back however at her next event, the RM Club Women’s Open in Mauritius.
Mohamed beat Georgia Adderley and Marie Stephan in straight games to advance to the semi-final of the event. She then beat No.2 seed, Melissa Alves 3-1 to reach her first final since 2019. After a tough 51-minute battle with No.1 seed Tinne Gilis, Mohamed claimed the Challenger 30 title, winning 3-2.
