Welcome to Rowan ElAraby, 20, Double World Junior Champion (2017, 2018), the only match she lost in that competition was against CIB Nouran Gohar in 2016 final…
Great rival of CIB Hania El Hammamy in the World Juniors – she beat her in the 2016 semis, then in the 2017/2018 finals – she was just a bit slower to adapt to the Senior Circuit than her compatriot who is now WR5, but still at a remarkable ranking for her age, WR12!
Her frail stature – hence her nickname Tinkerbell – hides a power and a determination that will we are sure take her to the top. Mr Hussein Abaza, CIB CEO and Board Member was delighted with that new addition
“Egypt is a factory of squash talents at the moment. We have to make sure we protect the trademark and help young players to develop in a secure and supported environment.
“After CIB Farida Mohamed, 19, a few weeks ago, adding one of the most talented Egyptian young players to our Team is a way for us to make sure the Egyptian domination remains as such for many years to come Insh’Allah.
“Rowan fierce intensity on court, doubled with great respect for her opponent and officials, her powerful yet accurate squash will make CIB proud I’m sure and will help her in the department she needs the most support: confidence in herself”.
