Rankings: The Gazelle is No3!

ALL THE EGYPTIAN PSA RANKINGS

CIB Hania El Hammamy has reached a career-high ranking of No.3 after the PSA Women’s World Rankings for January were released today. The 21-year-old from Cairo reached the final of the CIB Squash Open Black Ball last month and has leapfrogged USA’s Amanda Sobhy to seal a spot inside the top three for the first time.

The Black Ball champion – Nour El Sherbini – stays at No.1 for a 15th consecutive month ahead of CIB Nouran Gohar (No.2). Sobhy (No.4) and England’s Sarah-Jane Perry complete the rest of the top five.

Good news for CIB Salma Hany, who records a career-high ranking of No.7, and same for CIB Rowan Elaraby moves up to a career-high ranking of No.9. Nadine Shahin complets the top 15.

Former World No.3 CIB Nour El Tayeb – who came back from a 14-month spell on the sidelines at the Black Ball event following the birth of her daughter Farida – has dropped 10 places to No.19. It’s El Tayeb’s lowest ranking since August, 2014.
