Seven Tour titles, and a rise of over 50 places to sit inside the world’s top 30. It has been an incredible season for CIB Moustafa El Sirty, as he became known as one of the forces to be reckoned with in the upcoming decade or so.

After winning his last event of the 2020-2021 season, he continued that form into the 2021-2022 campaign, to win three of his first four tournaments, across three different countries. He won the CIB Egyptian Challenger Tour 2, Madeira International and Heroes Graz Open to start in the perfect way.

In a six week period before the New Year, El Sirty then won four consecutive titles, winning twice in Pakistan at the CAS – Serena Hotels / Combaxx International Squash Championships and the 15th CNS International Squash Championship, before also clinching victories at the Capra Baerum Open in Norway and the CIB Egyptian Challenger Tour 5 to make it seven victories in the space of five months.

From there, his focus moved on to the PSA World Tour as he started making the draws of the majors, and he would go on to reach the second round of the Allam British Open, El Gouna International and J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions, en route to the top 30 in the World Rankings. Due to his efforts on the Challenger Tour, he was named the men’s Challenger Tour Player of the Year for the 2021-2022 season.
