May Rankings: Ali and Nour still at the top

The postponement of April’s Manchester Open due to COVID-19 means that the top 20 is unchanged from last month, but the world’s greatest players will be in action at the El Gouna International, PSA World Tour Platinum event between May 20-28 as they look to put pressure on Farag and El Sherbini.

In the men’s rankings, Ali leads the way for a seventh successive month ahead of Mohamed ElShorbagy (No.2), CIB Tarek Momen (No.3), Paul Coll (No.4) and CIB Black Ball winner CIB Marwan ElShorbagy, who completes the top five.

The top 10 sees two more Egyptians, CIB Karim Abdel Gawad (No.6) and CIB Fares Dessouky (No.7).

As for the ladies, Nour El Sherbini is joined in the women’s top five by CIB Nouran Gohar (No.2) and CIB Nour El Tayeb (No.3), while CIB Hania El Hammamy figures at No.7, and CIB Salma Hany at No.9.
